My dog is my map, my dog is my compass, my dog is my guru.

Anyone who’s had a dog they loved knows how profoundly it enriches their lives. The Dog Path to Enlightenment is a romp illuminating the curious depth and transformation of modern Americans’ relationship to their dogs. Each short anecdote is a window into the way humans and canines are mirrors for one another, how the best in a dog brings out the best in us, and how even the worst in a dog is a path to wholeness when it is met with love and self-knowledge.

Humor with a dose of depth, the book is divided into short, wry, standalone anecdotes. Each one encapsulates a spiritual message within the story. The ms has just under 18000 words divided into 60 short topics and was written to be accompanied by photos and/or illustrations. The idea is that it’s a book to be picked up and read one or two topics at a time rather than in-depth in one or more long sittings.

Email me if you are an agent or publisher and would like to take a look at the manuscript.
